Welcoming Rye Street Tavern to the Shell Recycling Alliance!

Rye Street Tavern

We’re thrilled to introduce Rye Street Tavern, a new restaurant located in the Baltimore Peninsula, as the newest member of the Shell Recycling Alliance. This exciting collaboration promises to enhance our efforts in preserving the Chesapeake Bay while showcasing the best of Baltimore’s culinary scene.

A Culinary Beacon on the Waterfront

Rye Street Tavern, part of Clyde’s Restaurant Group, opened its doors on July 15, bringing a taste of Southern-inspired, seafood-rich cuisine right to the heart of Baltimore. Nestled on the vibrant Baltimore Peninsula, the restaurant is not just a dining destination but a beacon of sustainability and community engagement. With its stunning waterfront views and a menu that celebrates local flavors, Rye Street Tavern is set to become a favorite for both locals and visitors alike.

Fresh, Local, and Sustainable

Under the guidance of Baltimore-native Executive Chef John Navarria, the Tavern is committed to serving fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The menu features an array of dishes, from house-made pastas to fresh oysters, embodying the richness of Maryland’s culinary traditions. As part of the Shell Recycling Alliance, Rye Street Tavern will contribute to the restoration of oyster habitats by recycling oyster shells from their vibrant oyster bar, a practice crucial for ecological balance and water quality in the Chesapeake Bay.

Your New Go-To Destination

Whether you’re planning a casual lunch, a business dinner, or a weekend brunch, Rye Street Tavern caters to all occasions with excellence and flair. Celebrate the rich heritage of Baltimore with a cocktail in hand, crafted with locally produced Sagamore Spirit Rye, and enjoy the live music performances that light up the patio from Thursday through Sunday.

Join Us in Making a Difference

By dining at Rye Street Tavern, you’re enjoying a meal and contributing to a larger cause. Each oyster shell recycled through ORP’s efforts helps filter and clean our bay waters, making a direct impact on the health of our environment. So, next time you’re thinking about where to dine, choose a place that feeds your soul and helps the Bay!

Rye Street Tavern will also be presenting a seafood dish at ORP’s World is Your Oyster Fest (WIYO)! Featuring bountiful oysters and seafood, handcrafted beverages, a pro shucking competition, learn-to-shuck tutorials, a live oyster reef demo, and a vendor village full of Maryland and oyster-themed goods, this party with a purpose is designed to indulge, impress, and educate! It’s happening Thursday, September 26th at the B&O Railroad Museum. Get your tickets today!
