Herring Bay’s Build-a-Reef campaign began in 2021 in partnership with the Advocates for Herring Bay. The group successfully leveraged a $5,000 match provided by ORP to spur their community members into action.
The partnership has contributed the following to Herring Bay
2023: 65,000 spat-on-shell were planted by volunteers. Horn Point Lab again produced the spat-on-shell.
2021: 650,000 spat-on-shell were planted by volunteers. Spat was produced by Horn Point Laboratory.
