The Oyster Recovery Partnership is conducting a pilot program to assist Maryland watermen in identifying new ways to introduce and sell their oysters and seafood to the public. In addition to regularly conducting outreach and education events to educate the public about oyster restoration, aquaculture and shell recycling efforts, ORP formed the Old Line Fish Company (OLFC) to provide the public with sustainably harvested fish and shellfish sourced directly from local watermen and aquaculturists in the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic coast region.
The goal of the OLFC is emphasize the importance of the Maryland’s Seafood industry and underscore the vital role that consumers can play in preserving the Chesapeake Bay and her heritage. www.oldlinefish.com
