Every year on April 22, the world comes together to raise awareness for the protection and preservation of our planet. In the Chesapeake Bay area, we are proud of the life the water gives our region, shaping the land and supplying our region millions of pounds of seafood each year. But as the human population grows, we face increasing concerns about the stewardship of our region’s greatest natural resource.
This Earth Day the following Shell Recycling Alliance restaurants are making it even easier for you to support restoration efforts in the Chesapeake Bay. Print or download the below coupon for six FREE oysters (with the purchase of any entrée) on Sunday, April 22 at one of the below participating restaurants. The more oysters consumed, the more shell we can collect, recycle, clean, treat with baby oysters and put back into the Chesapeake Bay!

Grape’s Wine Bar of Annapolis (participating on 4/21, closed on 4/22)
The Grilled Oyster Company (Potomac and DC)
Oysters clean the Bay by filtering out silt, sediment and excess nutrients, and their reefs provide habitat for fish, crabs and other important marine life. At the Oyster Recovery Partnership (ORP), we recognize the importance of oysters, and are using science and innovation to harness their power to make positive change in the health of the Chesapeake Bay. If you are unable to take advantage of this promotion but would like to support the cause, please click HERE to make a monetary donation. A $20 donation plants 2,000 oysters.
Thank you for your ongoing support and helping to ensure our Bay remains healthy and prosperous for generations to come!
