Philip Plack is the Founder and President of Annapolis Oyster Company, an oyster aquaculture operation based on the Severn River. Started in 2021, the company currently has 1.5 million oysters under its care, and sells its product under the brand ‘Severn Selects’ to restaurants, directly to consumers, and through mobile raw bar catering events.

Philip is the 2024 recipient of the Green Heron Award by the Severn River Association for outstanding contributions to the local watershed, and has been featured on CBS News Baltimore and in the Baltimore Banner newspaper.

Prior to this venture, Philip worked in the federal sector in various analytic and managerial capacities in the intelligence field. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Maryland, College Park.
