This is a special time for oysters. ORP is celebrating its 20th anniversary of working to restore oysters to the Chesapeake Bay. We’ve come a long way. Today oysters have become a renaissance species in the United States. After a century of decline, the oyster has a new and unique role in the nation’s culture, inspiring scientists, environmentalists, entrepreneurs, foodies.

There is much work left to do and a growing need for donations to meet that need. More than 95 percent of all donations go directly to our restoration programs. We hope you enjoy some of your favorite oyster recipes this holiday season and that you make a gift to ORP to ensure that oysters will be around for holidays for generations to come.
